Juvenile Detention Officer
The Benton-Franklin Counties Juvenile Justice Center is seeking a Juvenile Detention Officer, Starting Salary: $3,072 Monthly, Plus Benefits.
Employment Type: Regular Full-Time, Bargaining Position. Minimum Qualifications: Preference given to persons with a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the Social Sciences, or any combination of education and experience that would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job. Must pass the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Physical Ability Testing (PAT) standard prior to interviewing for the position.
The PAT consists of 15 sit-ups in one minute; 13 push-ups and a 1.5-mile run in less than 17 minutes and 17 seconds. Must pass a comprehensive, in-depth background investigation, be able to obtain a State Corrections Officer Certificate, possess a valid Washington State Driver's License and be able to obtain and maintain Defensive Driving Certification, and First Aid/CPR/AED cards; must be at least 21 years of age.
