This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to address natural resource issues by working cooperatively with private landowners, district staff and local, state and federal agencies. This positions primary responsibility will be coordinating and implementing district projects. Projects include conducting resource investigations and monitoring field data, assisting district staff with educational events and programs and the implementation of cost-share programs. A Bachelors or Associate Degree from accredited institution in horticulture, agronomy, crop science, natural/environmental science or related field is required. Four (4) years of related work experience may be substituted for an Associate Degree or eight years (8) of related work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree. This position is full-time non-exempt grant funded position, with a six-month probationary period. Work will be performed in both an office setting and in rural, urban community and on-farm settings. Local and out-of-town travel, occasional evening and weekend hours are required. Compensation: $35,000 - $45,000 DOQ, plus benefits.
