Building Code Enforcement Manager
Bensalem Township, Bucks County (population 60,000) seeks a skilled and experienced individual to manage the Building and Code Enforcement Program. The successful candidate will oversee 9 full-time employees, & outside contractors. The Department is very busy reviewing all zoning and building applications & code enforcement activities for a widely diverse building stock in the Township, including the issuance of approximately 6,000 building permits each year.
Candidates should have (a) minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience managing people in a busy office environment; (b) Knowledge of and 3-5 years of experience in zoning, UCC code regulations and Pennsylvania MPS; (c) must possess at a minimum Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector certification; (d) strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; and (e) High school Diploma, some college a plus.
